Accountant - Entry-Level, Puerto Rico

The ideal candidate will have knowledge in construction industry, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform month end close activities which include the preparation of journal entries, financial analysis, reclassifications, allocations and corrections.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations, identify/resolve discrepancies and report financial misstatements in accordance with our accounting policies (GAAP).
  • Prepare quarterly reporting requests including both standard and ad-hoc request inclusive of analysis to fulfill stakeholder needs.
  • Prepare and support internal, external and tax audit requests and address/remediate findings.
  • Responsible for monthly review of Construction in Progress (CIP) account detail in accordance with GAAP and communication with project owners about status of project.
  • Responsible for capitalization determination and daily CIP and Fixed Asset transactions recorded in the General Ledger and the BNA Fixed Asset system.
     

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 1-2 years of professional experience
  • Active CPA license preferred but not required

Construction Project Managers, Puerto Rico

The ideal candidates will have knowledge in construction project management, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
  • Develop project schedules, plan materials, and purchase orders, ensuring work is within project scope.
  • Responsible for qualifying sub-contractor estimates and bids, performing project buyouts, and managing subcontractors' progress against plan.
  • Oversee the construction schedule, budget and insure project is completed within deadline and budget.
  • Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
  • Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking of team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project.
  • Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.
  • Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
  • Communicate effectively with the Sub-Contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
  • Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project.
  • Periodic inspection of construction sites.
  • Ensure project documents are complete.
  • Managing client and consultant meetings, and client approval of progress payments and variations. Oversee and report progress and trouble shoot against construction schedules.
  • Preparing any necessary work flow schedules and monitoring same to enable meeting of reporting deadlines.
  • Informing the Management team on the progress of the work on all significant matters relating to or arising from the duties and functions under your control.
  • Develop strategies to promote efficient and cost-effective work practices and monitor and analyze work practices and cost factors within the project team.
  • Ensuring that you maintain the name and goodwill of the company at all times.
     

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Fully fluent in English and Spanish

Project Quality Engineers - Entry-level, Puerto Rico

The ideal candidate will have knowledge in construction project management, be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven.

Responsibilities: 

  • Inspects and oversees construction of buildings, utilities, industrial facilities and other types of construction to assure that procedures, materials and workmanship comply with plans and specifications.
  • Maintain records concerning materials received/used, construction progress, inspections activities, blueprint changes and other related information. Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Provide input into monthly reports for presentation to the Board, covering key construction and QA/QC issues and provide timely and accurate information and reports to the Construction Oversight Director in agreed format(s).
  • To provide support on e.g. scheduling, estimating and designing of the project.
  • Plan, schedule, and/or coordinate construction inspection activities to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with procedural requirements on contractor's request for information.
  • Attend meetings with Client and Contractors
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and activities as directed


Minimum Requirements: 

  •     Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  •     Experience in estimating Commercial, Hotel and Industrial projects
  •     0 – 2 years of experience
  •     Experience with SAGE Estimating Software is a PLUS
  •     Strong time management and multitasking skills
  •     Fully fluent in English and Spanish
